a lot of us got into Gary's music at an impressionable age
(early teens). Secondly, the way he has been treated by
the Music Press (and others) brings out that great British
love of the 'underdog'. (Even in our foreign cousins !)
- The fact that He's a genius probably helps as well. (I
mean, early Kajagoogoo fans were fanatical but they grew
up eventually didn't they.)

did you feel the first time you heard Gary's music : It
changed the way I listened to music forever. Since the first
time, the music itself has meant everything to me. Gary
has a way of making beautiful haunting music, rich and full,
sparse and open all at the same time. His great voice blends
the vocal element into a seamless and amazing meld of music
and lyric. Since Gary's introduction into my everyday life
I have enjoyed finding music to chalenge me as Gary's first
did - ie Cabaret Voltaire. Especialy the early material.

Machine + Soul in itself is a nice album and so is Outland.
Somehow it just didn"t come across as very Numan-ish, apart
from a few notable exceptions, but that doesn't make them
bad albums at all.

has released songs as a single of which I thought: this
is going to be a big hit! And it didn't. So if the genius
himself is unable to determine which song could be Top 10,

hit, so maybe he should have tried something unusual. I
think that a lot of people still want him to make this weird,
strange music, which would justify such a release.

his style : Who knows. But it will never be really Gary
Numan. Yet it would be nice if he would cooperate on 1 or
